Before the mega auction of IPL, Lucknow has finalized the names of its 3 retained players. KL Rahul has been made the captain and surprisingly, the Lucknow franchise has also included spinner Ravi Bishnoi in the team.
Ravi Bishnoi used to play IPL for Punjab Kings till now and this time he was released by Punjab.
Ravi Bishnoi is the first cricketer of Jodhpur
Before the 2020 IPL, Ravi Bishnoi was bought by Kings XI Punjab for two crores. He is the first player from Jodhpur, Rajasthan, who has played both the Under-19 World Cup and IPL. Ravi Bishnoi also participated in the Under 19 World Cup of 2020 and performed brilliantly.
The Indian team also reached the final in that Under 19 World Cup but the team was defeated by Bangladesh.
Ravi Bishnoi struggled a lot in the early days of his life. His relatives tell that in childhood, Ravi Bishnoi used to practice on the rough land of the fields. According to his mother, as long as the family lived in the village, Ravi bowled in the fields. True to his tune, Ravi joined the Cricket Academy in Jodhpur.
There had come a time when Ravi was not selected in the Under 16 team, his family members were about to remove Ravi from cricket. Ravi Bishnoi’s father started asking him to make a career in some other field.
Ravi Bishnoi was born on 5 September 2000 in Birami village of Jodhpur. His family later started living in Jodhpur.
Closer advantage of KL Rahul
Ravi Bishnoi also played for Punjab Kings under the leadership of KL Rahul. He performed brilliantly in two seasons of IPL and became Rahul’s favourite.
Rahul has also been made the captain of Lucknow and he took Ravi Bishnoi with him to the Lucknow team. Ravi Bishnoi has so far taken 24 wickets in 23 matches in IPL with an economy of 6.96. Bishnoi will now be seen playing for Lucknow under the captaincy of KL Rahul. Ravi Bishnoi has been kept by Lucknow with his team for Rs 4 crore.
Ravi Bishnoi has taken 24 wickets in 17 matches of domestic cricket for Rajasthan. He has also taken 49 wickets in 42 T20 matches including IPL. Bishnoi came into the limelight during the Under-19 World Cup of 2020 when he had a clash with Bangladeshi players. Bangladeshi players did a lot of indecency after winning the final.
